Nadal Claims No. 1 Spot From Federer

After a record 160 weeks as the world’s no. 2 Rafael Nadal has at last claimed the number one spot from Roger Federer. The 2008 Olympic champion won Gold yesterday in the Beijing Olympics, beating his opponent Chilean Fernando Gonzalez in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 (2) and 6-3. Five grand slam singles titles including the French open for the fourth consecutive year and Wimbledon this year, signalled that Rafael Nadal was indeed tired of being the man in waiting and took the number one spot today after victory in his Olympic final.

Jamaican track star Usain Bolt streaked ahead his competition leaving them far behind him to finish the Olympic 100 meter final in emphatic fashion is just 9.69 seconds.
